Safety, credentials & recovery
This site explains self-custody principles, not an audit of a particular app. Verify actual key custody, software provenance, and backup responsibilities before use.
Viewing chain activity and broadcasting transactions commonly need connectivity. An offline backup does not. Actual behavior depends on the app used.
Record it offline, verify word order, and keep it away from screenshots, chat apps, and cloud notes. Never share it with anyone.
A private key can control a particular address. A recovery phrase commonly derives multiple keys. Both are highly sensitive.
Use a verified application on a trusted device, carefully restore from an existing backup, and verify addresses and networks.
USDT exists on several networks. Match the receiving network, contract identity, and fee requirements before sending.
Check the network, full recipient address, token, amount, fees, any approvals, and the final transaction summary.
Avoid unverified ads and messages. Check the source domain, installation file, and permission requests.
Watch for lookalike domains, redirects, urgency, and requests for recovery phrases. Stop when anything seems inconsistent.
